By accessing or using ProofPing, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Service Description

ProofPing is a safety check-in service designed for people living alone and solo travelers. The service allows you to:

• Set daily check-in reminders
• Designate emergency contacts
• Store emergency information in a secure vault
• Automatically alert contacts if you miss a check-in

User Accounts

To use ProofPing, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us of any unauthorized access to your account

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Checking in daily as scheduled
• Keeping your contact information up to date
• Ensuring your emergency contacts consent to receiving alerts
• Using the service in good faith and not for any unlawful purpose

Emergency Contact Notifications

By adding emergency contacts to ProofPing:

• You confirm that you have permission to share their contact information with us
• You understand that they will receive notifications about your check-in status
• You acknowledge that they can remove themselves from your contact list at any time

Important: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Subscription and Billing

ProofPing offers free and paid subscription tiers:

• Free tier includes basic features with limited contacts
• Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy

Disclaimer of Warranties

ProofPing is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• That alerts will be delivered in all circumstances
• The accuracy or reliability of any information provided through the service

ProofPing is not a substitute for emergency services. In case of emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProofPing and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these terms of service
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Engage in behavior that could harm other users or our service

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
