How to Delete Your ProofPing Account

We're sorry to see you go. You can delete your ProofPing account and all associated data using either of the methods below.

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is directly within the ProofPing app:

• Step 1: Open the ProofPing app on your device
• Step 2: Tap on Settings (gear icon)
• Step 3: Scroll down and tap Account
• Step 4: Tap Delete Account
• Step 5: Confirm your decision when prompted

Your account and all data will be deleted immediately.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us:

• Send an email to support@proofping.app
• Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
• Include the email address associated with your ProofPing account

We will process your request and delete your account within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

Data That Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

• Account Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and authentication credentials
• Check-In History: All your daily check-in records and timestamps
• Location Data: Any location information associated with your check-ins
• Emergency Contacts: All contacts you've added, including their names, phone numbers, and email addresses
• Emergency Vault: All medical information, emergency instructions, and other vault contents
• Alerts: History of any alerts sent to your contacts
• Settings & Preferences: Your check-in schedule, notification preferences, and all other settings
• Subscription Information: Your subscription status and history (note: active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Google Play)
• Device Tokens: Push notification tokens for your devices

Data That May Be Retained

For legal and regulatory compliance, we may retain the following for up to 7 years:

• Audit Logs: Records of alert notifications sent (required for legal compliance in case of disputes or legal inquiries)
• Transaction Records: Basic records of any subscription payments processed

These retained records contain minimal information necessary for compliance and cannot be used to identify you in normal operations.

Important Notes

• This action is permanent: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered
• Cancel subscriptions separately: If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through the Google Play Store before deleting your account to avoid future charges
• Notify your contacts: Consider informing your emergency contacts that you're deleting your account so they know they will no longer receive alerts
